Today I am only going to show off day 3 from our trip because I have lots to do today! Tonight we are having my little brother's going away party. He leaves for boot camp on September 8th :( Don't forget to scroll all the way down to the bottom to read the stories! Happy Friday everyone!
This is my favorite picture of us in Paris!
We got lots of pictures of tourists taking pictures.
Yes it seems repetitive but come on I couldn't get enough!
Such a postcard shot!
This one too!
Seen on the metro! Even Parisians don't like captivity!
We went to this very fancy mall that had 8 levels I think and it was amazing! From the roof we could see all of Paris. This is the famous opera house. I am reading a book about Marie Antoinette right now and this opera house is mentioned often. I got to see and be where she was! How exciting!
This is the inside of the mall.
Goodnight day 3!

The
Monkey
The
monkey had a problem, his thumb was stuck in a hole in the ground. He
sat and cried and cried over his dilemma. How would he ever remove
his thumb? As he cried many animals came by to see the monkey and his
problem. Some tried to help. Some gave advice. Most laughed at the
monkey who looked sad and hopeless with his thumb in a hole in the
ground. After many minutes stuck in the ground a sloth sauntered by
from his trip on the ground to his home in the tree.
“Monkey,
your thumb is stuck in the ground and you are crying? Why are you not
trying to solve your problem?” asked the sloth.
“I
can't! I am stuck and I will die here!” sobbed the monkey as
viewers laughed on.
“It
seems your problem is not that bad monkey look here,” sloth slowly
walked over to the monkey and dug a nail in the ground around the
monkey's thumb, freeing it from the hole in the ground.
“I
am free!” yelled the monkey!
“Yes
monkey, you are,” said the sloth as he rolled his eyes.
“I
will live!”
“Monkey
hold your cheer. Today you lived, tomorrow you may be too stupid to
keep on. Good luck and stop sticking your thumb in holes in the
ground,” and off went the sloth to watch from his tree top as the
monkey went on his day preparing to top the Darwin Awards of the
animal kingdom.

Breathless
She
sat breathless looking out at the effortlessly green earth. The trees
dotted the horizon as if Bob Ross himself painted them for her
pleasure. The rolling hills molded into the skyline as the sun sat
high in the sky like a king of all the land. She took in the moment
high a top her perch watching the earth slowly go by below her. The
time had come and everyone was ready, on the count of 3 they would
jump. 1...2...3!
Her and her diving mate leaped from the steady airplane that carried
them thousands of miles above the ground. With a wild scream she let
the thrill of falling towards the ground fill her lungs and burst
through her entire body. The tiny landscape gradually got bigger and
with a slight tug the parachute burst from the pack they were
wearing. She felt like a weightless bird swooping towards the grass
below and the thrill she felt in her belly turned into complete awe.
From far up in the air the world was so small but as she descended
she saw the majestic beauty the world held. Birds grouped up and took
flight. The hum of cicadas filled the air. The sun made everything
glisten with life. She landed on the soft green grass with a slight
thud. With her arms wide open and her eyes to the sky she gave a
joyful yell of victory for a safe landing. The sky was crystal blue
and suddenly she felt like a spec on a map. Again she was breathless
but not from how small the world seemed rather how small she seemed
in the world.
