May Day May Day it's May Day!

Happy May Day everyone. As National Poetry Month is officially over I will be writing more stories and less poems. There will still be the occasional poem but I am going back to my story roots. Now that spring is in full swing I will have happier stories but I would also like some inspiration. One of the stories from today is a request made by a friend so if you have a story idea let me know and I will write it! Happy day everyone, see ya in two days!

The Mouse in the House

There lived a gray mouse
Who lived in a blue house.
He loved to eat cheese
And gave none to the fleas.
Mouse ran all around
Like a working hound,
He searched the rooms,
Then hid behind brooms.
Little mouse then found a hole
He took his treat that he stole
And ate it up
Then went to bed after his sup.
Cozy and warm he slept away,
In a furry little ball he would stay,
Dreaming little mouse dreams
Within the blue house's seams.

The Kitten Adventures

There once lived two little kittens who lived in a great land of cardboard and carpeted stairs. One kitten was dark as night, inside and out. She had glowing green eyes and was filled to the brim with hate. Her name was Myssa. The other kitten was very furry, brown and somewhat striped. She was a kind kitty with big, full eyes and a calm demeanor. Her name was Sage. The two kittens were not friends, no, not friends at all, rather they were unfortunate companions in the adventure they ended up on.

One day, Sage was sitting at the bottom of a carpeted set of stairs and Myssa was at the top. Myssa was scratching and clawing away, pretending the stairs were her great enemy. In all her scratching, she did not notice that the carpet was coming loose. Suddenly the carpet came apart and flung Myssa backwards down the stairs, curling herself and Sage into a ball of carpet and kitten. They rolled and rolled, down carpeted hills and cardboard castles. They rolled past the valley of sand boxes and beyond the forest of yarn and feathers. They finally landed in Laser Land.

Fortunately for the not so friendly felines, Sage was completely unresponsive to lasers. Unfortunately for the kittens, Myssa was a complete, devious mess for lasers. She ran and ran and clawed and climbed and raced in complete lunacy over little red dots flying all over.

“Myssa, calm down! We have to get back home. Stop chasing a dot it really is not that big of a deal,” proclaimed Sage in awe of Myssa's profound need of laser dots.

“Hate! Hate! Kill all the laser dots!!!” Myssa was in a rage and Sage knew the only way to get home was to drag her out. Sage was a little bit bigger than Myssa so she walked right up to Myssa, grabbed her by her collar and dragged her free of Laser Land.

“Myssa we need to get home, my delicious dinner and comfy bed awaits me,” announced Sage, totally out of breath from dragging an angry Myssa.

“How dare you remove me from my mission to destroy all lasers! Those moronic things taunt me and I must kill them all!” Myssa was nearly unreachable but came to her senses quickly, “you did this to us and now I must get us home,” puffed Myssa.

Sage just rolled her eyes and breathed heavy. Off the kittens went, stopping to relax and pounce in the feather and yarn forests. They relieved themselves in the valley of sandboxes and napped in the cardboard castles. Eventually they made it home to the carpet hills they lived in.

“Yay! Home!” announced Sage. Whack! “Hey! What was that for?” asked Sage after Myssa smacked her in the face.

“I hate all things, that is what it was for,” hissed Myssa who just stalked off to plot her next evil. Sage shook her head free of the whack and trotted to her food. After she ate all her tasty kitty food she took a nap on her favorite chair. All was well now in kitten land while Sage slept and Myssa plotted.
